Introduction: Following the successful completion of the Crochet Soft Toys Training, Guru Harkrishan Educational Society (GHES) organized a two-day Refresher Training Program on 2nd &3rdAug, 2024for all the trainees at Barat Ghar, Rampur Kamboyan. The aim was to reinforce the trainees skills in Crochet products making, provide valuable business insights, and equip them with marketing strategies for a successful venture in the jute product industry.

Day 1: Discussions & Business Planning On the first day of the Refresher Training, participants engaged in interactive discussions cantered around business planning and market demand for Crochetproducts. Trainees shared their experiences and insights from their initial training, fostering a collaborative learning environment.

Creation of Business Plan: Trainees were guided through the process of creating a comprehensive business plan, covering aspects such as production capacity, target markets, pricing strategies, and financial projections. Each trainee was encouraged to develop a personalized plan, tailored to their individual goals and aspirations.

Exploring Demand Areas for CrochetProducts: Through market research and group discussions, participants identified various potential demand areas for jute products. Understanding customer preferences and identifying niche markets played a crucial role in devising effective marketing strategies.

Marketing and Distribution Planning: Trainees engaged in planning strategies for marketing and distribution of their finished jute products in the local market. They discussed effective promotional techniques and explored collaborations with local vendors and retailers. How to do Cost evaluation was also discussed and activity related to it was also done by Ms. Kushlin Kaur Master Trainer.  

Mrs. Reetu Verma DDM NABARD from Ambala Cluster also attended the training programme and motivated the Trainees for setting up their enterprise. She also advised candidates to make unique decorative Crochet Products which are having huge demand in the market.

Day 2: Packaging Techniques & Online Presence On the second day of the Refresher Training, trainees delved into the significance of attractive packaging and leveraging online platforms for marketing and sales.

Packaging Techniques: Participants were introduced to different packaging techniques suitable for various types of jute products. Mrs. Binder Kaur a Master Trainer also shared new techniques to make unique Jute products and how to pack them before sending them to the market.

Online Marketing and Sales: Trainees were made aware of the importance of establishing an online presence for marketing and sales. They were introduced to various e-commerce platforms and social media channels to promote their jute bags and reach a wider audience. Ms. Simranjeet Master Trainer in Digital Marketing gave awareness about the Social Media Platforms like Facebook, Instagram & ONDC. How they can sell their products online on these platforms.

Government Schemes Information: The trainees were also made aware about the various supportive schemes offered by the State and Central governments to promote small-scale enterprises. This information empowered the trainees to explore opportunities for financial assistance and incentives.

 

 

Conclusion: The two-day Refresher Training by Guru Harkrishan Educational Society proved to be a valuable and enriching experience for the trainees. They gained insights into business planning, marketing strategies, packaging techniques, and the significance of online presence for successful entrepreneurship in the jute product industry.
