Guru Harkrishan Educational Society (GHES), with Financial support of NABARD, successfully inaugurated a Common Facility Centre (CFC) under LEDP Crochet Soft Toys initiative at Village Rampur Kamboyan, Block Bilaspur, District Yamuna Nagar. The establishment of this facility marks a significant milestone in empowering rural women by providing them with sustainable livelihood opportunities through skill development and entrepreneurship in the domain of handmade crochet soft toys.

Inauguration Ceremony

The event commenced with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, symbolizing the beginning of a new journey towards women’s empowerment. Mrs.ReetuVerma, AGM, NABARD,

formally inaugurated the Common Facility Centre and appreciated the efforts of GHES in creating a platform for skill development and self-reliance among rural women. She emphasized NABARD’s commitment to supporting such initiatives that foster sustainable income generation.

Significance of the
Common Facility Centre

The CFC has been designed to serve as a hub for training and production of high-quality crochet soft toys. The key objectives include:

  • Entrepreneurship Promotion: Encouraging women to start their own micro-enterprises.
  • Market Linkage: Facilitating direct market access for handcrafted products.
